Guest Numero Dos: Jon "Ulf" Schwarzmann

Of almost 200 pictures these four (with a bit of modification) were the ones that I felt accurately, and artistically, conveyed the things in my life. The math paper is obvious, hours upon hours in the math lab lead my vision to narrow in on one problem at a time (quite literally). The Playstation controller represent my fun (ie insouciant) attitude, which stands diametrically opposite to my rigorous math schedule. Then of course there is my little ball of bounteous light, Ileyana. All else dims in comparison to her. That last picture, of tree and light-post, spoke to me from the moment I took it. I didn't know why until I isolated them from everything else in the frame. It's a wonderful metaphor for relationships, especially my wife and me. Sometimes she's the tree and I'm the light-post.

  2. I love the math photo. The point where it blurs out of focus into oblivion? That's the effect math has on me. I like these relationships. It's like a picture tour of your life. Nice to get to know you a little, Jon.
